The CNGS project is starting: a beam of muon neutrinos produced at CERN and useful for physics will
be delivered soon at Gran Sasso
Laboratory. The Opera experiment, explicitly designed to see the appearance of tau neutrinos, is a unique apparatus for demonstrating the
neutrino oscillation. Other experiments, like LVD, Icarus
and Borexino offer the possibility to monitor and
study the beam products.
Waiting for the CNGS neutrinos, we are
organizing a one-day meeting to listen to presentations from the experiments
and to discuss the impact of the CNGS neutrino beam on the Gran
Sasso Laboratory.
